Para-Dressage Rider of the Year!
I was unable to attend the USDF Awards Banquet this past weekend, but it's an honor to be the 2019 Para-Dressage Rider of the Year, Grade 2 Champion. I've done a lot of learning and pushing myself outside my comfort zone this year. There have been many ups and downs, but it's been a fabulous and fun year with Taco!
I couldn't have done any of this without Sara Schmitt helping, guiding, and laughing with us the entire time. Maggie O'Leary also steps up and is a huge part of our team! Of course, everyone at Sara Schmitt Dressage plays a key role in taking care of Taco, helping me when I need a hand, and cheering me on at shows.
This year I've also had a lot of help, support, and off the horse training from Project Walk New Jersey. Daniella has been super creative in getting parts of my body to activate and other parts to relax and calm down when needbe. It's been great to see the skills transfer over to my riding.
We leave for Florida for the season in just a little over a couple weeks.
If you'd like to contribute to our training this season as we make a final push towards making the Team, I have an account set up with Southern California Equestrian Sports. All donations made to my account are tax deductible!

No matter what happens this season, I'm so grateful for all the support I've received. I have to remember that I'm still so new to this sport and the progress that I've made in such a short time is unbelievable. I can't wait to think where I'll be in just another few short years!
